Some Notable  Women in the Morgan family of Tredegar House

A tribute to mark the centenary of Women’s Suffrage   

Launched today, 1 January 2018, this web site is a tribute to some of  the Morgan women of Tredegar House, Newport marking the centenary of woman being granted the right to vote one hundred years ago.

Coverage on the internet on this and other web sites will feature  some notable members of the House of Tredegar, of  Ruperra Castle and Tredegar House, Newport, South Wales, UK.

Lady Katharine Morgan nee Carnegie, 3rd Lady Tredegar,  was a prominent supporter of Woman's Suffrage and in 1914  was the President of Newport Non-Militant Women’s Suffrage Society.

A new book working title  “ Some Notable  Women in the Morgan family of Tredegar House is a tribute to mark the centenary of Women’s Suffrage” .

William Cross is a  well known  Morgan  historian, author of eight books on members of the Morgans of Tredegar House.

Cross will also give talks during 2018 and 2019 on the Morgan women and their role in the campaign  to win the vote and in other pioneering feats during the years of the Great War and throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.
